This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Status: 6 Month Fixed Term, March-September 2025

Hours: 35 hours per week

The Role:

This exciting role requires excellent organisational skills, coupled with a high degree of flexibility. You will be responsible for organising work programs for yourself and a small team of volunteers, constantly adapting your plan according to changing conditions. This role is suited to individuals who are intuitive and can think outside of the box. The nature of the work includes being present outdoors, in stunning remote locations of the North East of Scotland, and will at times be physically demanding.

Due to the nature of this remote role, there will be an element of home working required. A current driving license is essential , to travel to/from the suite of beautiful reserves we have in the surrounding area.

 

The successful candidate(s) will ideally:
• have a high degree of emotional maturity, resilience and flexibility
• have excellent people skills,
• be able to work under their own initiative and as part of a close-knit team
• be able to organise, supervise and motivate a small team of volunteers
• have exceptional verbal communication skills to maintain relationships with stakeholders
• have good practical skills and experience to carry out or arrange necessary maintenance the reserves.
• Have experience in a wide range of practical conservation tasks
• Have certification in the use of brushcutters, (chainsaw and herbicide spraying would be advantageous but not essential)
• be able to produce an annual report on the season's activities
